It keeps the blood flowing smoothly, which decreases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Regular physical activity can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, and certain types of cancer, arthritis, according to Mayo Clinic.

It also boosts energy and improves muscle strength. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that make one feel more relaxed with a better self esteem.

Gerald Ruzindana, a nutritionist says that not only overweight people should go to the gym because both overweight, normal and underweight people need to keep fit.

“Some people could have normal weight and even looking slim but with extra fats stored in their bodies. Women should not wait to gain extra weight in order to get into the habit of exercising and keeping fit because everybody needs this,”he said.

Ruzindana advises that women should aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. It can be easy exercises like taking a walk, jogging and walking up and down the stairs instead of using the elevator.

One can even enroll for gym sessions if they can afford it because it would be easier to exercise with guidance alongside other people. Slim or big, every woman needs to exercise for both their mental and physical health. Exercising will keep one’s mind relaxed and happier besides keeping them in good shape.
