Diana Uwanyirigira is an upcoming local musician whose claim to fame is Ndaje, a local pop track that is currently receiving ample airplay on local radio stations. She talked to The Sunday Times’s Grace Mugoya about music and what she looks out for in a man. Excerpts below:
What compelled you to start singing?
I realised that I had the talent.
What would you do to show a man who has not hit on you that you ‘feel’ him?
I would let him know through his friends or get his number and send him a message.
What do you regard as injustice in a relationship?
When my lover refuses me to do what I feel is right.
Why do you hang out late in nightclubs?
Life is so short and I believe that going out to have fan with others is really good.
Would you leave your lover here and relocate, say, to the United States?
Why not? I cannot turn down an opportunity when it strikes.
So, tell us about your dream man…
I just love a man with plans for the future.
