These scars

These scars are real, they come from real wounds of wretchedness, they grow and they grew too manyYet these scars have made us stronger, reminded us of our past and defined our future.

These scars are real, they come from real wounds
of wretchedness, they grow and they grew too many

Yet these scars have made us stronger, reminded us of our past and defined our future.

Yet these scars have given us courage and determination to conquer all in our path

Still, these scars define where we came from and what it took to get here.

These map shaped scars never -not once- let us forget the price of goodness, the fulfillment of friendship and the unique beauty of life

These scars are reality, they speak louder than words. They comfort more than hugs.

They fulfill more than promises seen through

These scars symbolise the toil of our lives and the price tag of our choices

Even though their wounds were painful and long, they have truly strengthened us and made us incredibly brave. They have forever marked our lives
