This eatery is located in one of Kigali’s’ hushed areas, it’s near Ex-Clinique le bon Samaritan (Kwa Gasasira), opposite Sky hotel. The pathway through the main gate leads to a vast parking lot. The eatery is on your left. Strange as it sound, when you turn left, you come face to face with the door to the loos. So please don’t enter, just follow the veranda it will lead you to an open space with well laid tables.
The first thing to welcome you is the loud music coming from a serious-looking speaker positioned at the door of a mini bar. Namba’s is a typical Kigali resto with nothing to write home about. According to jean Bosco the manager, the buffet (self service) which consists of the usual dishes’ (French fries, rice, boiled Irish potatoes etc) goes for 2000Frw.they also do Kawunga and Ubugali.
The menu card educates the reader of the best Gatogo (braised beef or goat in potato or banana broth) they prepare for breakfast. On our visit, the place was full of activities and music playing a little louder. We selected a seat in the corner and ordered a whole grilled fish ( big to feed about two starved men)which came with some inviting salads and we part with only 7.0000Rfw.
Beers and other drinks are available le too, at the same price as in your locality.A bottle of Heineken at 1500 and soda at 500. The service just like their food, is just ok.Before I forget, a word of word of warning, unless you are comfortable making a short call while conversating with the guy on the long call, just skip going to the loos.
