Once upon a time, a Lion was asleep; a little mouse began running up and down on him. This soon woke the Lion up, who grabbed the mouse with his huge paw and opened his big jaws to swallow him.
“Pardon, Oh King!” cried the little mouse. “Forgive me this time. I shall never do that again and I shall never forget your kindness. And who knows, I could return the favour one of these days.”
The Lion was so intrigued with the idea that he let the mouse go.
Sometime later, a few hunters captured the lion and tied him to a tree while they went to search for a wagon to carry him.
The little mouse passed by and after seeing the sad look on the Lion’s face, he ran up to him and gnawed away at the ropes that bound the lion and he was now free.
So whenever you are going to do something to a friend, think before you act because next time you might need their help.
