During their heyday, hot pants were sometimes worn very tight to the hips, waist and bottom. Hot pants were often worn with stockings or tights underneath, but many ladies were brave enough to wear the leg revealing shorts alone. Here are a few tips on how you can look good in these shorts.

Look for a negative hemline: the hemline of your hot pants ought to curve up the outer thigh. Around the back it needs to at least follow the shape of your derriere.
