Double vanities

Double vanities were there before, but are now emerging again in bathroom remodeling trends. It not only gives a stylish look to the bathroom but it is functional as well. A double bathroom vanity in dark wood paneling combined with black and white bowl shaped marble sink is a great investment. You can even opt for a floating double vanity in a material like granite or marble. The space behind the floating double vanity can be utilized for installing glass cabinets, if you have limited space.

Vintage Mirrors

A vintage mirror installed in front of the vanity is one of the key bathroom remodeling trends. It not only gives the space a luxurious look but also makes the bathroom appear larger. The wall sized mirror should be installed along with a trimming of crown molding in a sleek but matte finish for an elegant look. The crown molding will act as the frame for the mirror and give the bathroom a regal and luxurious ambiance. Installing a vintage mirror is a must do in this kind of a bathroom.

Vintage bathroom lighting

One of the most overlooked elements in bathroom décor is bathroom lighting. While remodeling a bathroom, pay close attention to the lighting as it contributes heavily to the overall ambiance of the bathroom. Wall sconces or even candles are among vintage lighting that one can use in this type of a bathroom.  For as long as the lighting is on the low, then your bathroom will acquire the vintage feel.

Stone tiles

Stone tiles are back in vogue. These tiles give a natural spa like ambiance in the bathroom. Since vintage is more like natural, the trick in using this trend successfully is to use stone tiles. These stone tiles can be fixed on one side of the walls of the bathroom to give it natural look. The advantage of the vintage bathroom is that you can use the same stone tiles to have your bathtub custom made.

Cabinets

No bathroom is complete or functional without bathroom cabinets. You need a place to store your bath towels, toiletries and bathroom cleaning supplies; otherwise your countertop will be full of clutter. Custom-built bathroom cabinets in simple designs are ideal for storage. Storage cabinets built under the bathroom vanities not only maximizes the use of space but also looks trendy and chic, with a touch of old to it.

Vintage bathroom does not take a lot, but you need an eye for details and good things to come up with such a bathroom.
