I’m naturally a gentleman and there was this lady friend of mine that I used to hang out with a lot. When she needed someone to walk her home, I would accompany her. When she dropped something I quickly picked it for her. When she cried, I was there to wipe her tears and this one time when she fell sick, I visited her a number of times and took her what I could afford.
To me, I was doing all this because we were good friends. But she came to me one time and said, “Patrick, I have something to tell you”. Anxious to know what she had to say, I let her go on. “I’m really sorry but I’m already seeing someone else,” she ended.
So I asked her what the sorry was for and then let her know that for me all she was to me was just a friend.
Gentlemen do exist and not all that do good have ultra motives. Yes I must admit some men do, but women shouldn’t always think of the negative first. Get to know people’s intentions before you embarrass them unnecessarily.
