REIGNING league champions APR are in talks with TP Mazembe midfielder Pierre Mukandila Kabanda and Vita Club right back Mao Kalisa.
Should Kabanda’s deal be a success, it will be a shock return for the midfielder who fell out with the club management three years ago.
During his time at the club, he had turned himself into a fans’ favourite because of his sleek play and superstar lifestyle off the field.
He played for Tanzania giants Yanga Africans before joining Mazembe last season.
Kalisa was also a major hit at Rayon Sport, which led to a national team call during the Michael Nees era but he later run away and returned to Congo.
Although some APR faithfuls feel uncomfortable about Kabanda’s return, APR Secretary General Adolphe Kalisa maintains that he sees nothing wrong in re-signing Kabanda.
APR has promised to make an official statement in the near future on all the players who have joined the club in this transfer window.
