From all walks of life, women will trek to beauty salons to have the latest hairstyle weaved into their heads. Most beauty salons focus on women’s hair, something that explains the importance that women attach to their hair.

But have you ever stopped to wonder whether these people who work in hair salons are trained for this work. Most are probably not trained; given the fact there are not many training institutions that deal in training related to cosmetics and beauty.

Today, in our main story, we focus on professionalising the beauty salon industry. Susan Babijja speaks to experts in the industry.

We also have our usual seasoned writers: Dr. Pande, Ingina y’ Igihanga, The villager and much more. Enjoy this weekend with The Sunday Mag.
