Dear Its a Guy Thing,
I have been with my boyfriend for just over a year. We lived together for eight months until we had problems and he ended up throwing me out.
We are so much in love but sometimes his moods take over and he cannot think before he acts, then later regrets his mistakes. He is going to counselling and I think that we should live separately so we can work on our differences but he wants me to move back in with him. I am obviously worried that he could throw me out again. What I should do? Joella
First of all, I must laud you for attempting to live with your boyfriend before marriage. Imagine if you had found out his character traits after you had gotten married? It would have been a disaster.
I honestly think that more Rwandans should pursue this avenue. Back to your query. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why you would even fathom going back to the fellow.
It’s great that he is going for counseling, but I think that you are correct to ask for some space to work out your differences. He is being simply selfish. Stand your ground and don’t allow yourself to get bullied. You deserve better.
