Whether it is in academics, sports, art or an activity of your interest, success should be what every teenager strives for. Success at an early age will ensure serious accomplishment in the years to come.

There are records of teenagers who have achieved great success and gained global recognition. You can do the same if you work hard because success doesn’t come easy. Be prepared to make sacrifices if you really want to accomplish every goal.

There is no denying that teenage years are the best time to have fun in life. But this ‘fun’ shouldn’t be the death of you. Stay away from alcohol, smoking of any kind and drugs. Save from being illegal (teens are not allowed to smoke or drink); these habits are very harmful to your health.  Vices such as these sabotage your concentration and commitment.

As a teen, you will begin to explore the romantic avenues of life. While there is nothing wrong with a little romance (if you are eighteen), it is important to keep the relationship light and fun. Go watch movies, engage in out door sports, do some reading, go out for ice cream and remember to lay off the heavy stuff until you are an adult – preferably married.

Heartbreaks are difficult to cope with but try and look at them as a way of life. Whenever a situation goes beyond your control, do not hesitate to talk to your parents, a mentor or a good friend.

Good health is one of the main ingredients of success. Do not ignore illness or any kind of feeling that is not ordinary, even a minor discomfort. Try and enhance your diet with nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables. A healthy mind and body will keep you in great shape to take on any challenge life throws at you.

Even if you look like you do not need it, regular exercise is good for you. You do not have to signup for the gym but simple walks and jogs are great exercise.  Get at least 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep every day. Have a specific sleeping pattern and stick to it. This will also help in regularizing your schedule and getting all your work done on time.
