Waxing your legs removes excess hair, leaving them smooth and soft to the touch. Most women have to go to the beautician to get their legs waxed, but if you find it too financially draining or time-consuming maybe it’s time that you do it in the comfort of your home.
You will need sugar 2 cups, 1/4 cup of lemon juice and ¼ cup of water to make your sugar wax. Place the three in a sauce pan and heat them gently not allowing them to boil. You could use a thermometer to make sure that the mixture doesn’t exceed 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Let the mixture cool until it can be poured in a clean container. Again, make sure that the mixture isnt too hot. You can try and test the solution on a small area of skin.
You will need a spreading stick, a flat wooden lollipop stick or any fat wooden stick can be used. Finally, you will need strips of cotton cloth.
Here is how you do it.
Take a good bath and dry yourself properly and find a comfortable place to sit.
After applying the sugar wax on your legs with the flat wooden stick place cotton strip, measuring about one inch wide and two inches long, on your skin making sure that it faces the direction of hair growth. Smooth the cotton strip on your skin.
After a few minutes take the end of the strip and tug against the direction of the hair growth, pulling as close to the skin as possible and not upwards or away from it.
After removing all the unwanted hair you can remove any sticky patches remaining on your skin by washing.
You can now apply some alcohol-free lotion to soothe the skin.
If you have mixture left over, all you need to do is reheat it and it will be ready for use.
