For many women, the professional look is always very important, that’s why, choosing the right suit is essential. With the growing demand of female professionals in the corporate world, the demand for women business suits has been ever increasing.
If you want to wear the best corporate suit, do not buy and wear suits just because they look great or because your office mates wear it. Always consider your body’s build. It is very necessary to have the right fitting for business suit; otherwise it might leave a very bad impression about you, rather than an impressive one.
The first thing to consider when choosing a corporate suit is the colour, says Emeline Hirwa a local fashion designer. “Decide on the colour as well as the possible pattern that you would like to have. Classic colors that fit business suits include gray, black and navy. These colors are compatible with skirts and pant suits. If you want to wear business suits with patterns like plaid or conservative checks, make sure that the design prints are compatible and aligned with the lapels, shoulders and seams,” Hirwa says.
Second, you would need to consider the quality of the fabric. Suits that are made from too much polyester need to be avoided. You can check the fabric by crumpling it to see if it springs back into shape.
With corporate suit, you would need to decide whether to get pants or a skirt. Although the skirt is more appropriate for formal settings, the pants can also work depending on the circumstances.
Make sure the skirt or pants fit. You should be able to slide two fingers under the waistline and pull about 1 inch of excess fabric at the hip. Skirts should fall straight. Back, not side zippers help a skirt to fall more smoothly. Pay attention to the crotch area for pants, making sure it lies perfectly flat against your body.
Young women love to follow the latest fashion styles, like short business skirts to flaunt their legs. In business, however, always follow the conventional principles. Bear in mind to wear business skirts that will cover your thigh when you sit.
Always know your size. When buying already made suit from a store, always fit the clothes so that you know for a fact that they will work.
A classy business suit will not only make you feel good and but will also exhibit a confident reflection of your persona. It is also important to accessorize a business properly, so that it looks different from the uniforms that every alternate member of the business world wears.
