How to get rid of those annoying dark circles under your eyes

You went to bed totally worked up over something, then you had a fitful sleep for what seemed like thirty seconds and dawn just crept up on you. And what do you have in the morning? Yes, those dreaded dark circles and puffy eyes that make you look just like grandmother.

Worse still, you ran out of face cream and you realise you are running so late and don’t have the time to get rid of those big dark circles and the puffiness under your eyes! What will people at work think? We don’t want them knowing you didn’t exactly sleep well.

Well worry no more ladies; here is how you can avoid those face spoiling enemies and wake up feeling all good to go.

-First and foremost, you need to nurture yourself, get plenty of rest and reduce stress. Being deprived of sleep for a long period leads to under-eye swelling, discoloration, sagging and wrinkling.

-Exercise a lot as this will reduce stress causing hormones and improve your health and mood

- Find out if you have any other risk factors for under-eye circles. Allergies are known to cause them as well. A visit to your doctor for a skin or blood allergy test is therefore mandatory.

- You can decrease sun exposure, stop smoking and reduce the consumption of alcohol and caffeine as these are all factors responsible for dark circles and puffiness.

-Picking out genuine right skin screams is vital. Creams with vitamins K and A are known to cut back the appearance of dark circles, exfoliate and tighten the skin under the eye thus reducing sagging and revealing a much lighter complexion.

-Use foundation that is a tad bit lighter than your normal foundation under your eyes.
