Didier Deschamps’ side welcome the Bavarians to the Stade Velodrome on March 28 before then travelling to the Allianz Arena for the return fixture six days later.

Marseille’s scheduled Ligue 1 meeting with Montpellier has been pushed back in order to allow the club to focus on their Champions League quarter-final tie with Bayern Munich.

The game had originally been set to take place at the Stade Velodrome on March 31 but it has now been postponed until April 11 at the request of last season’s runners-up, who were keen to have the weekend off in between their upcoming clashes with the Bavarians.

“The last French club in the European Cup, OM is defending the position of France in the Uefa index in the interest of French football,” a statement issued on the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) website read.

“This ruling ... does not affect the legality and fairness of the competition.”
