Are you the type that always wants to know who has the latest car model or who hasn’t changed their wardrobe in a long time? Are you the kind who likes to eavesdrop or contribute to other people’s talk even without invitation? You had better quit the vice dear, lest you get declared a nuisance.
Jack has the habit of scolding and “name-calling” his roommate, Peter. “You tall and hopeless boy…..you are nothing but a useless investment,” are some of the harsh screams that come Peter’s way.
What’s interesting is that Peter (however offended) never shoots back, all he does is keep his cool and concentrate on what matters most , leaving Jack looking like a damn-fool.
The other strangely surprising thing is that Peter beats his tormentor (Jack) hands-down in class performance, so only God knows where this dense bully gets the nerve to scold the other about uselessness. Such people who like criticizing or stalking others are rarely brainy or successful at their own ventures; so why get distressed by another person’s problems yet your own remain unresolved? Such irony!
Usually, these people who specialize in judging or killing other people’s confidence are never certain how they will be judged themselves, so it’s easier for them to do the judging!
Shifting your attention to other people’s concerns leaving your own un attended , is not only cheap in terms of character, but also cheating oneself; If only you knew how much you could accomplish if that time was spent concentrating on more helpful issues! Mind you, life is too short to spend it focusing on other people’s issues rather than your own.
Perhaps meddling in other people’s affairs could be a result of idleness or boredom only that one may not notice. The best option available is to get a job or learn a sport so as to keep productively busy.
It’s important to know that involving yourself in other people’s issues is not only unethical but also has potential to earn you haters hence leaving you socially retarded.
Putting energy and attention in what matters the most to someone is a basic discipline everyone ought to learn, other than getting nosy about other people’s concerns.
You want freedom? Give others their freedom first!
