New ARVs in offing
Rwandans diagnosed with HIV/AIDS will soon upgrade to first choice Anti Retroviral therapy (ART) drug treatment as the Government moves to the use of the first choice drugs expected to begin this month, disease control officials have said.

It will be one of three ARV drugs combined to make the premier option for first line therapy for adults.
Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, the Care and Treatment Department Coordinator said the national guideline is the main tool used to determine which treatment a patient will be starting and the patient’s treatment is then reviewed and changed accordingly.
