World Bank is not needed in Rwanda

Dear Editor,

I have just been going through the latest issue of The New Times. It is very interesting to note that the World Bank president was visiting Rwanda and was impressed by Rwanda’s progress.

During the closing ceremony of Hillywood, there was a very eye opening documentary screened regarding fresh water all over the world. The World Bank was exposed as a corrupt and immoral entity.

Why am I not surprised to see the president rushing to Rwanda as soon as Kagame and Kabila shook hands and made agreements over bilateral trade and investment?

Rwanda should realize that these sweet talking people will ensure the country is sunk in mires of debt by offering money to develop projects and hurt the local populace.

Editor, Rwanda is a great country and can progress without the help of World Bank. As soon as the Methane gas project is complete, Rwanda will generate enough revenue to develop the country.

John Bosco.
