Seven selected to represent Kigali at Miss Rwanda 2018

Auditions for Miss Rwanda 2018 climaxed Saturday evening at the Hilltop Hotel in Remera, with seven girls chosen to represent the City of Kigali.

The auditions brought to a close a countrywide search that saw the Miss Rwanda team traverse all four Provinces of the country.

Just fifteen girls applied for the auditions from the capital, a rather small number compared to the turnout at some of the regional auditions.

In the end, only seven received pass tickets to face the three member panel of judges.

Those that qualified are; Teta Shalon, Kayirebwa Marie Paul, Uwonkunda Belinda, Uwase Teta Anita, Ingabire Belinda, Umutoni Belise, and Umuhoza Karen.

These will join the other regional finalists to tussle it out for the Miss Rwanda 2018 crown at the pageant grand finale at the Kigali Convention Center main auditorium on February 24.

The search for this year’s Miss Rwanda kicked off in the Northern Province on Saturday January 13th, with auditions at the La Palme Hotel in Musanze town.

Auditions then headed to Rubavu in the Western Province, Huye in the Southern Province, and Kayonza in the Eastern Province.

The theme for this year’s pageant is; Beauty. Brain. Culture.
