Editor, RE: “Mutabaruka, the survivor who forgave 50 Genocide perpetrators” (The New Times, October 18). Mutabaruka is a brave man – I cannot describe his courage. When I was young I faced discrimination, humiliation and bullying for being born a Tutsi. In 1994, my entire family was exterminated. Some of the perpetrators are free today, they are well off than me. They have forged a very cozy relationship with Rwandans who returned from exile in various countries after the Genocide against the Tutsi. I fear that when given a chance these criminals would strike and kill again. Yet if I dare to utter these words to any Rwandan returnees I become a laughing stock, I am humiliated, bullied and discriminated to some extent. This scenario takes me back to my childhood. Mutabaruka, once again I applaud your bravery. Rwacu Twese
