Editor,It is good that Rwanda could actively share her gains in combating corruption and raising the environmental, health, business and security conditions with the other East African counterparts.But we should not forget that Rwanda did it, not because somebody else told them to do so. It’s because of their particular history that motivated the people of Rwanda to work hard for the good of their nation, and improve the standard of living for Rwandan citizens.Gains in the battle against corruption can attract investors and constitute a finance base for a country. If well focused, creating an export mature trade-mark is something that takes up to 10 years to a normal country to reach. With Rwanda being a unique case, I would give it only 5 years to reach that.This would be a huge opportunity for Rwanda and its people if working/doing business with Rwandans was seen as ticket to integrity, reliability, hard-work and quality.That would make Rwanda an ideal gate to the east-African market.Will BankerAustria
