Real beauty is within

What do stars like Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba have in common other than their acting skills? They are very beautiful women. So beautiful they are that some women have gone to life-threatening measures like plastic surgery just to look like them.It’s more like an obsession with looks that is driving people to insanity. What I don’t understand is who said beauty is what it is? What if beauty is the exact opposite of what we take it to be? Why can’t we see past the cover and dig deep into what really makes a person beautiful; the heart. Hypothetically, if Halle Berry were to commit a really foul crime now, everyone would be like, ‘Oh my, what a shame. How can such a beautiful woman do such a thing?’ Well clearly she isn’t beautiful if her heart is that ugly. It’s almost as if when a not so good looking person does something bad, it comes as no shock. They always fuss over the pretty girl or handsome boy who did this or that. When a baby is born, all that matters is what the baby looks like. It’s a baby for crying out loud, at least give it time to grow and then impose shallow judgment on the looks. Worse still they pick that exact time when the poor thing can’t even defend itself. Imagine seeing a couple with the guy looking like a Greek god or something and the woman, well, not so ‘goddish’ and then someone asks what the guy saw in her. Well obviously he did see something in her, something not visible to the naked eye, something a shallow minded person wouldn’t see if it was staring them in the face. Who are we to call another person ugly? Why bring in all that nonsense of ‘she would have been pretty but her nose is too big or her mouth is too wide’? Were we not all created in God’s image? I think calling another person ugly is like saying God is ugly or maybe questioning his actions as to what possessed him into creating such a human being and after all He has done for us, isn’t that just the worst thing to say? They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. That man they say looks like he should be living under a bridge like the troll that wanted to gobble up the three billy goats, might just be someone else’s gem. Why do most people think that love can’t be the reason a good looking person would date a not so good looking one? There always has to be doubt and speculation, like maybe it’s the money? How about he looks just fine to her and she doesn’t care about the money. Ever thought of that? Yes, most people thinkthe only thing women love is money but why assume every woman is like that and frankly it is their business what they saw in each other. Real beauty comes from within. It shouldn’t matter what a person looks like. Is that person God fearing, kind and considerate, helpful and loving, respectful and non-judgmental? Sure the flaws exist but does the good outweigh the bad? That is what matters and not the fact that they can’t enter a beauty pageant! It’s time to style up and focus on what’s important. Women obsessed with looks and feel like they can’t leave the house or even get out of bed without applying some mascara and lip-gloss need to take a chill pill and work on beautifying their lives. Men need to understand the pressure women go through just to stay looking good for them lest they dump them after motherhood leaves them heavier and less attractive. Let her know she is still every bit the glamorous goddess (even without make up) you fell in love with regardless of the years that have gone by and the hordes of kids to prove it! For the women, if you’re friends think you love the wrong man and by wrong they mean not easy on the eye, then they are probably not the best of friends.
