The 12 Rwandans who have already been shortlisted will appear for auditions in Kigali on January 16, and they include Sandra Teta, first runner up Miss Rwanda 2015 Vanessa Uwase, radio personality Phil Peter, among others.

According to rules of entry, all persons over the age of 21 and citizens of East Africa with a valid passport are eligible to compete for a slot in Godfather East Africa. Weight and character are also some of the criteria considered.

There will be a second phase of auditions in the respective cities and the final auditions will take place in March in Nairobi. Like in BBA, millions of cash will be up for grabs for the last contestant standing. The lucky contestants will be battling it out for Sh2.5 million.

The rules of the game remain similar to those that applied in the Big Brother Africa for a period of three months that the show will last. Once one is selected he/she must be willing to travel to Nairobi for the show. The producer will cater for economy travel flight to Nairobi, hotel accommodation and per diem.

Only two finalists will receive prizes, but a weekly draw shall be conducted with voting from public, for each participant for each week that he/she remains in the God Father East Africa flat.

The GFEA 2018 shall be watched on NTV Uganda, NTV Kenya or Citizen TV.
