Inyemera vs AS Kigali
THEY were crowned champions for the fourth season running at the weekend but AS Kigali are aiming to end the season with a win when they take on Inyemera in the penultimate game of the national women football league this afternoon in Gicumbi.
The champions go into today’s ‘meaningless’ rescheduled fixture fresh from hammering their last opponents The Winners 24-0.
Asked the secret behind their dominance of the national women football league, AS Kigali head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu said, “It’s just hard work, unit and solidarity amongst us (team). In every game we try to give our best and with a little bit of luck, we’re the champions once again.”
“I thank my players for the way they’ve been playing throughout the whole championship as well the Kigali City administration for supporting us throughout,” added Nyinawumuntu.
The championship officially ends this coming Saturday with AS Kigali hosting Imirasire, while APR will face The Winners in the battle for second position.
