Ferwafa appoints Tardy as Technical Director

UNDER-20 coach Richard Tardy has been appointed as the new Technical Director of the Rwanda Football Federation, Ferwafa president Celestin Ntagungira has confirmed.
The Frenchman, who guided the junior wasps to the final of the African Junior Championships last year and later to the U-17 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, is also the master mind behind the formation of Isonga football club which consists of players of the junior wasps’ team.
The club was formed to keep the players together and harness their raw talent and in their debut season surprised everyone by finishing sixth in the league.
“He will sign the contract this afternoon and before that I cannot reveal the details,” Ntagungira told Times Sport yesterday morning.
The 60-year old is expected to perform both roles of U-20 coach and national Technical Director.
