Editor, I was delighted to read an article that appeared in The New Times of June, 7, titled “Ministry earmarks 26 % of budget to SMEs.”
Editor, I wish to respond to Oscar Kabbatende’s article- “the forgotten civilian” that appeared in The New Times of June 12, reacting to a previous story where the Minister of Defence was quoted to have defended the Armed Forces Shop project before the Deputies.
Editor I heard that the terrorists in the Nairobi bomb blast recently escaped police trail through changing their sim-cards. I think this points to one key flaw of our liberalisation policy, namely the potential threat of allowing such sensitive security matters like communication gadgets to be sold on streets.
Editor, Reference is made to Joseph Rwagatare’s piece titled “Who benefits from the conflict in DRC?” The New Times, June, 12. It hit the nail squarely on the head.
