Arsenal retains Mugabo

ARSENAL will promote Rwanda’s U-17 youngster Alfred Mugabo from the Under 16 team to Under 18, according to the Gunners youth website.
The tricky and skilful winger, who tends to operate on the right flank, impressed for Steve Gatting’s U-16s last season and will be looking to transfer that good form into the U-18 next season.
The promotion of Mugabo is good news to Rwanda national team, Amavubi Stars especially at a time when the team needs more attacking players.
Renowned for his pace, Mugabo represented the Junior Wasps at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2011 in Mexico despite being just 15 years old at the time.
According to the website, the promotion of the Rwandan young midfielder will provide Arsenal with a formidable attacking threat in the Premier Academy League this coming campaign.
