I'm excited to hear the news about opening the door to eco-housing. There is another type that is quite remarkable with several names (sandbag construction, superadobe). The primary developer is in California and the project there is called CalEarth. It's very economical to build, uses primarily earth in bags or tubes, extremely durable, low tech building techniques. I encourage all who are interested in preserving the environment to explore this possibility for Rwanda.
