Education is what sticks after school

When students go to school, they shouldn’t do it for the sake of simply pleasing their parents or because everyone else does it. School is more about learning life skills as a way of preparing for the future.
For example, at school there are people that pass commercial papers like commerce, economics and many more. But when it comes to real life application of these subjects, they almost know nothing. In that case they are just studying and not learning which shouldn’t be the case at school.
Try to be wise in school and attach meaning to everything you learn. Don’t make school all about passing exams because in the world today, it’s not just about the paper you present, it’s about how you apply what you have learnt. You always hear people talk about employing themselves and not being employed but sure that will be hard when you can’t apply what you have learnt.
Studying is supposed to be enjoyable and not a punishment. Therefore, make the best of it by learning much more than just what is asked in examination papers. Make the best of your lessons by asking your teacher many other things related to the topic you are learning even though it’s not in the syllabus. For example, asking about satellites and planets in a physics class when studying about something like spaces will open your mind to other scenarios where physics is applied. It will make your lessons more interesting as well as, improve your general knowledge of current events. Eventually, real education is what remains with you long after you have graduated from school.
