AMONG the fast-rising musicians we have in the country, James Ruhumuriza known as King James is one of the most promising R&B singers to watch! King James started his music journey in the year 2009, when R’nB was less popular; he fought and hanged on, growing with the then new genre.

On 31/03/2012 the singer scooped all three of his nominations at the 2011 Salax Awards, topping the ceremony with “Artiste of the Year”, and taking home both “Best Male” and “Best R&B Artiste.”

“Music isn’t something I just do. It’s something I love doing because there is something about music that creates a deeper way of communicating and expressing yourself,” says the soft spoken artist who is currently doing a Bachelors degree in Mass communication at Mount Kenya University.

Colleagues in the music industry speak of him in glowing terms “James is a focused young man, the way he balances, both his career and education shows how serious he is,” says Dada Cross, a Rwandan US based Hip Hop artist.

James who is an ardent sevethday Adventist, recently refuted rumours that he was going out with fellow musician Knowles.

“I’m currently not in a relationship, I believe one shouldn’t rush, when it comes to dating” says, James. The person he loves most is José Mário dos Santos Mourinho Félix a Portuguese football manager, currently the head coach of Real Madrid.

With his ever increasing number of fans and the right management, James is destined to be the best R&B singer in the country.
