Editor, I totally agree with Prime Minister Dr Pierre Damien Habumuremyi that agriculture research centres should actively help address the community’s needs and help farmers increase productivity to lift themselves out of poverty.
Editor, It’s a shame to hear that a Kenyan woman is in custody in Kigali for allegedly using fraudulent means to obain money from Bank of Kigali.
Editor, According to this newspaper, Genocide suspect Jean Bosco Uwinkindi will be produced in court this week. I have no doubt that Uwindinki, despite his inhumane crimes, he will benefit from Rwanda’s fair justice.
Editor, The idea behind the establishment of the Economic Community for the Great Lakes Region (CEPGL) was great. I assume this regional block, which brings together Burundi, DRC and Rwanda, is already doing a good job.
Editor, Reference is made to the story, ‘China issues new visa rules” published in The New Times of Thursday, April 19, 2012. In the story, it was stated that the Chinese Embassy in Kigali had tightened measures for all Rwandans seeking Visa to China.
