50 patients need heart surgery
There are 50 patients on the waiting list for free heart surgery at Kigali King Faisal Hospital.
Doctor Nathan Ruhamya, a physician and cardiologist at King Faisal Hospital says Rwanda has been divided into four zones to simplify provision of health care and easy follow up for the patients with
heart defects.
He was speaking at the closure of an outreach program, where at least 17 patients underwent free heart surgery. It was conducted by Healing Hearts Northwest, a group of health care professionals from Spokane Washington, in partnership with King Faisal Hospital.
