Meeting between President and religious leaders timely
Editor,
I wish to thank President Paul Kagame for the having accorded audience to religious leaders last week. It’s obvious that both sides discussed a wide range of issues, not just the ongoing debate on abortion.
Let me take this opportunity to state that from the moment of conception, the unborn baby is a unique individual. The genes that determine his/her physical nature are different from those of any other individual, including the mother and father.
Life is determined at conception and obviously may differ from the mother’s. Each cell in the baby’s body is uniquely different from every cell of its mother and every other human.
At what point in this progression is it morally right to kill him/her simply because we choose to? Or is it our right, really? Please, let’s stand firm against the temptation of creating avenues for abortion.

Editor,
Praise be to God that has given us a considerate and understanding President. I am greatly that the President listened to the concerns of our spiritual leaders. May God continue to bless him with more wisdom. Thank you.
