Though it seemed like RnB had taken the lion’s share of music in Rwanda, of late Rwandan Hip-Hop has defied the odds and it’s swiftly building it’s self a following.

Dada Cross is a Rwandan hip hop artist based in the US. Born in 1989 in Kigali to Jean Paul Niwemuremyi and Alice Twagirayezu the young female hip hop rapper later moved to US with her parents. The star who sings in Hip Hop style lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and she is a student at Full Sail University pursuing master’s degree in Management.

She shrugged off being the victim of a flour-bomb attack joking with her make-up artist that she needed more powder.
