Bank to launch new product
Fina Bank Rwanda, the country’s leading lender to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), today, launches a new product targeting particularly women, entrepreneurs, and cooperatives.
Albert Akimanzi, Fina Bank’s Marketing Manager, told The Business Times that the product dubbed ‘Fina Sugira’ provides a unique opportunity for women to save portions of their money at calculated intervals, so that their deposits can grow at favourable rates.
The bank officials said there would be no charges for maintenance, ATM card, mobile and internet banking, internal and external transfers, and that clients will access loans at competitive rates and financial advisory services among the advantages of their new product.
“We have keen interest to further boost development of women in Rwanda. As lenders, we take into account the needs of women entrepreneurs and carry out a business focused research, before coming up with a solution in form of Fina Sugira,” Akimanzi explained.
The account seeks to address the challenges of lack of access to credit for women.
