US, Rwanda ratify investment treaty
A US-Rwanda bilateral investment treaty was, Friday, ratified following discussions to increase and diversify trade through exploitation of existing partnerships between the two countries. The US trade representative, Ambassador Ron Kirk, described it as a major achievement in their trade and investment agenda and the U.S-African economic relationship.

Amavubi, Friday, qualified for the quarter finals of the regional football tournament at the top of Group B, beating Djibouti 5-2. A couple of months ago the national side was eliminated from the Africa Nations Cup qualifiers. Its poor performance then, created a sense of despondence among football fans, who thought it would be long before the team is revived to achieve glory for the country.
