I tend to think that the biggest challenge for news consumers is whether what they see, read or hear is real. This is because over the years the line between Hollywood and Fox News has grown thinner. The one between beauty and Photoshop has almost disappeared! With all this ambiguity flying around, news consumers are often thrown on a wild goose chase with stories that border on amateur comedy. The national soccer side has put up a sterling performance in the ongoing CECAFA challenge cup in Dar es Salam. Amavubi, Friday, qualified for the quarter finals of the regional football tournament at the top of Group B, beating Djibouti 5-2. A couple of months ago the national side was eliminated from the Africa Nations Cup qualifiers. Its poor performance then, created a sense of despondence among football fans, who thought it would be long before the team is revived to achieve glory for the country.
