Today’s fixtures. RWANDA got their Zone 5 basketball championship off to a flier after convincing victories in both categories yesterday.The women side crashed a helpless Ethiopian side 98-53 while their male counterparts demolished Burundi 98-60 at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

AS Kigali Coach Thierry Hitimana has been temporarily assigned to coach the national U-23 team ahead of next month’s 2012 London Games qualifiers.According to reports from the local football governing body (Ferwafa), Hitimana’s coaching experience was key in his appointment although reliable sources also revealed that Amavubi head coach Sellas Tetteh threw in a good word for him.
