What is special about Kamonyi?
Jamesa Gangwa

Dear editor,

I would like through your paper, to ask the concerned authorities to tell us what is special about Kamonyi district, in the former Giatarama.

The district is so notorious and has constantly continued to kill innocent genocide survivors. They kill with all the brutality that we saw during the 1994 genocide. The local leaders in Kamonyi have not come out to explain, yet the population is tired of seeing and hearing the ugly killings of Kamonyi. If the leaders cannot stop the killings why don’t they resign?

The ministry concerned and other authorities should put more serious efforts in stopping Kamonyi killings. Whereas other districts boost of development contracts, Kamonyi districts is doing the contrary. For sure the leaders and the people of Kamonyi district in general, owe Rwandans big explanations.

We vehemently condemn the series of brutal murder and deaths, survivours of genocide in Kamonyi particularly and in Rwanda generally, continue to face.

If nothing big is done to control this, we shall witness more killings, especially that we are about to start a memorial period.

Concerned Rwandan

Gahini
